How was your team formed and have you gone through any significant changes since?
The team was formed almost two years ago and the most significant change we have gone through since then was between February and May of 2012. There had been shifts in command and team members that after 2 month break brought us back onto the ESL stage during Go4WoT Cup #47. Since then we gradually worked our way up to the ladder. Another big change was in October 2012 when we decided to change our team name to '1SBP Ulanska Fantazja' which you could see during IEM tournament in Katowice and today.
Many of the new teams have struggled to get consistent results, have you done anything special to try and buck the trend?
There are a lot of things that can influence how the team performs. We believe that the most important elements are: superior teamwork, excellent strategy and most significant of all - luck :). Although it can be easy to achieve scarce success through some training and strategy discussions it is much harder to keep the trend. It requires lots of willpower, time and concentration from each team member to keep constant or improve the level of play.
Was it your aim from the beginning to try for the pro league?
We gave it a long thought when the first news about pro league appeared and decided to give it a try during the first A-series games. However we soon realized it collided with real life responsibilities too much and decided to get in by improving the Go4WoT ranking. It allowed us to keep constant training schedule and did not collide with real life.
What has your training regime been like since you’ve qualified?
We increased the intensity of the training sessions and have spent more time on tactical discussions.
If you had to name one strength and one one weakness in your team what they be?
I would like to say we don't have any weakness but that would be a grave mistake. It is best to say that like in most team-based games our greatest strength and weakness at the same time are the players themselves.
You’ll be joining a long line of Polish teams, how much success have you had over your counterparts in previous tournaments?
All Polish teams that have participated in pro league are strong. However it is safe to say we stand on equal grounds as every time we fought each other it was both difficul and satisfying. Sometimes we won, sometimes our opponents. It could be called a war of attrition and as such, the losses were always heavy on both sides.
What is your goal for this season in terms of position?
First place of course, what else? I find a quote from one of my favorite songs very fitting here: "Locked and loaded, ready to go. If you take us on then under you go. The plan is simple, we fight to win [...]".

Icarium
