After failing close to their goal in the last promotion tournament, it is time for Millenium to get back on the track of a new season of Challenger Series. The previous team had reached the CS finals last summer, against Misfits, allowing them to qualify for 2017 promotions. But, the ROCCAT team was too strong and put an end to the Millenium dream, after a very close Bo3 (3-2 for ROCCAT), sending them back in CS for the 2017 Spring Split.
After this honorable performance, players and organisation have decided to split apart, despite a year rich in victories. So we decided that we wanted to create a new team that would be as good as the previous one. Today, we are proud to introduce you to the new Millenium eSport Club League of Legends team ! Without further delay, let's dive into this with a video presentation of the players, followed by a quick resume about them.
2017 Millenium team
Toplane | |
Min "Mimic" Ju-seong | |
Mimic is a korean toplaner who already have two years of experience in competition. After several months as sub in the prestigious kt Rolster team, two years ago, he then played at Pathos where he met two other players of our roster. Mostly noticed in 2016 for his performance in SBENU Korea, that he permitted to reach finals, Mimic is now joining Millenium more motivated than ever. Tanks and bruisers champions amateur like Trundle or Poppy, his playstyle should perfectly fit the new meta. |
Jungle | |
Moon "Steal" Geun-young
Under his friendly look, Steal (previously known under the name of L1sure) is, in fact, one of the rising-star player in Korea. He spent some time with Pathos last year before being recruited aside of Score in kt Rolster in the end of the year. But being hidden behind Score's shadow didn't let him shine, and now he will use this opportunity in Europ to show what he got. |
Midlane | |
Prodromos "Pretty" Kevezitidis
The greek Pretty no longer need to be introduced at Millenium. Only player left from the 2016 roster, he decided to stick with us for this incoming year. His talents as midlaner will be precious to aim for the holy grail : the LCS qualification this summer. His efficiency, on control mages or assassins, has already been proved. His very wide champion pool will be another advantage against the new picks & bans system, which will be applied in LCS and CS this year. We are excited to discover what new picks he's preparing for this new season ! |
AD Carry | |
Kristoffer "P1noy" Albao Lund Pedersen
P1noy is a veteran of the occidental scene. He already played at LCS for Gambit Gaming in 2015, and then played for several team in Challenger Series, like Winterfox in NA or Copenhagen Wolves in EU. We know that he enjoy playing Kalista, and the recents buffs that she received might give him a certain advantage on his opponents. We also saw him playing Twitch or Lucian : he likes to play aggressively in early game, an appreciated quality in this meta which reward risk taking. Maybe will he play some unconventional champions in botlane like Ziggs or Cassiopeia |
Support | |
Tore "Norskeren" Hoel Eilertsen
Considered as the team's rookie, Norskeren wants to prove that he have nothing to be ashamed of in comparison to the other players in CS. Coming from Norway, he went through differents team such as mousesports or Dream Team, in America. He didn't really stand out last year, but today he wants to catch up with the Millenium team, thanks to picks like Zyra, Karma or Bard, champions that are really appreciated in the actual meta. |
The team will be coach by Kang "Laden" Byung-ho, who previously worked with Team Forge and Pathos.
Samish - Manager of team [M]
Déclaration de Samy "Samishh" Mazouzi It's always really hard to create a new team from scratch, and I quickly realized that I wanted to have koreans, but not only players. After speaking with several coaches, it was necessary to have, aside of korean players, a korean coach with an european experience. So Laden have been picked because he had, aside of his past at OMG, worked Inside of Team Forge, during the previous split. Our confidence since has been accorded to Steal, jungle sub of kt Rolster during the last LCK split, and so was it to Mimic, who worked with Laden at Forge. He evolved a lot following the CS EU split with his return at Sbenu. After that, P1noy have been contact and after talking a lot with him, we decided to take Norskeren, the Young rookie, who showed an impressing need to evolve and learn at our side. And Pretty ! This Young Greek player is sticking with us since a year and always had the attitude and the mental strength to fit Millenium ambitions. I really hope that everyone will mix just fine and that we will make your dreams come true during these Challenger Series ! #MFIGHTING" |
This new Millenium team, transformed from the top to the bottom, will soon dive into competition, and we are very excited to see how they can perform in the Fields of Justice. We wish them good luck and an incoming year full of success !
