Upon the showmatch opposing his team to the Danes from Copenhagen Wolves, Robin "GMX" Stahmer, leader of Epsilon, spent some time with Millenium. He introduced us with his new team and told us his mind about the recent changes on the french CS:GO scene and the map pool, before telling us his thoughts about his opponnents.
[M] Laemey : Following the recent changes within Titan, LDLC and Epsilon, the entire french CS:GO scene is upside-down. How are your first training with this new team going ?
Robin "GMX" Stahmer : Everything is going fine, even though we don't have a huge time to train, unlike the other new teams. Despite this lack of time, everything is really going well. We are still looking for our gameplay, so it is going to be messy for a while, as any new team it's rough at the beginning. However, I think we manage to keep the mood we had when Shox and Kioshima were still in the team, and it is really great.
All of you five have been member of the three best french teams. Following the changes within it, how do you think you're standing in relation to Titan and LDLC ?
I think we're obviously last on paper. However, everything will depend on the willing of every player of my team. Everyone is now motivated, even though we are the "leftovers", we are giving our best and I think it will be one of our strengths. I can't stand us in relation to the other teams for now, as none of us has a clear teamplay so far.
Shox, Ex6Tenz and Happy were the In Game Leader on your previous teams. Who will lead this new roster ?
I will lead this team, as I did in the beginning of the previous Epsilon roster. I'm still taking my marks with my new players.
Can you briefly explain the role of each player in your team ?
The roles aren't really defined yet, we are still trying to find our teamplay. To answer your question, I will still try to give everyone's role, even though it might be temporary. I will start with fxy0, who is our sniper, a really agressive player able to do the best. Uzzziii is our entry fragger, mostly keeping the bombsites on his own. ScreaM keeps small bombsites and is our entry fragger when we are playing as terrorists. Sf's role is like Uzzziii's, but a lot more passive in terrorist. As for me, I'm the one taking care of everything's going on well, and studying our opponent's attacks and defenses.
Epsilon rely on ScreaM incredible aim
I think we have a team with a lot of skill, able to be really strong on CT, even though we still have to see how T sides will be going. Our weaknesses will be work and orderliness. We aren't players known for being "hard" workers, but we will do our best to exploit our training time.
Many teams include a coach, such as pita for NiP, Le Poireau Maléfique for Titan or Devilwalk for fnatic. Do you intend to recruit one ? Why, or why not ?
It's something possible. I would really like to have the help of a coach for the team, but I don't know what my team mates think about it. As for recruiting one, we didn't discuss it yet. But it could happen. Why ? I would have a right-hand man who could help me channel the players and exploit the qualities of each one of us.
You will represent France in ESEC 2014 alongside with Uzzziii and Sf. In Copenhagen Wolves, gla1ve, Pimp and Nico will fight for Denmark. Even though the rosters were different, last year, Denmark beat France in finals. Do you think it could happen again ?
Of course it won't happen, I'm here now ! Seriously, I think that the players who went last year to Serbia for the finals didn't really play well. Moreover, the line-up changed at the last minute because Happy was sick and couldn't travel. I feel confident about this year.

The map pool used in this showmatch will be the same as the one used in ESL One Cologne 2014, including Cobblestone, Cache and Overpass. What is your feedback about these maps ?
I really like Cache and Cobblestone, especially with the latest update. I never really liked Overpass, but every team has to manage every one of the seven maps, so I guess I will have to work on Overpass.
What is your next goal with this team ?
Giving the best of ourselves and be strong even in defeat are two things I would like to see in this team. Then, take back the place we had with the previous line-up of Epsilon in the Top EU would be really nice. I would really like to show that the team didn't depend on Shox and Kioshima, as some may think.
This interview comes to an end, thanks for answering my questions. The final words belong to you.
I would like to thank Millenium for this showmatch, and our organisation Epsilon for their support even though the latest "hard time", and of course all of our sponsors !
