With Haydal, Moopz, Impaler and Mimer, Mixga - the current support for team SUPA HOT CREW XD - will play this weekend Up & Down in order to determine if whether or not they will participate in the next LCS.
Hi Migxa, and congratulations for your qualification in the Up & Down, you deserved it. Can you introduce yourself, just in case some of our viewers wouldn't know you:I am Migxaaa, currently rank 3 Challenger EUW and support for SUPA HOT CREW XD whom I am going to play in the Up & Down next week with.
I used to play for TCM and Millenium too. I've been on the challenger scene for a year and I intend to stay in the eSport scene for a few years. In real life, my name is Maxime Poinssot and I'm 18.Matches are to be played soon, how are you preparing for that?
We scrim a little, watch replays, discuss about the game and about our picks, we spy on our opponents and we practise individually in soloQ. There is also a lot of mental preparation : be ready for the LAN, be sure we won't panic at a crucial moment, etc.
Which team frightens you the most in these Up & Down?
NiP is by far above the other two (SK and MYM).
Do you already know your opponent?
Yes, we do, but we are not allowed to reveal it before Riot's official statement.
The interview was made before Riot's official statement.
It is often said that teams with French players have troubles communicating with their teammates, since they don't speak the same language. How is it going with Mimer and Impaler?
It is not a problem, our three French players speak English quite well with an understandable accent.
Is it a problem for you that the games are being played on the preseason patch?
To adapt to the patches is part of our pro-gamer job, it's the rule or we'll disappear from the pro scene. Playing on a new patch on which the strategies haven't been found yet is quite interesting, it gives us choices and variety.
According to you, who are the three best supports at the moment?
I feel like everything is viable since the patch, and any champion could be strong as support. Only Annie stands out. Taric's tankiness is impressive, but he has flaws. Old supports such as Nami or Sona are still viables but they don't dominate non-conventional picks anymore.
Speaking of the botlane, Lucian has been picked a lot lately at a competitive level both in Europe and USA, even though he didn't have any success since he came out, except in Korea. So, is there a real reason behind that, or is it only about Korean hype?
It's only about Korean hype because they always are a step ahead, but they were right.
I think that's all, thanks you for answering my questions and good luck to you and your team for these qualifications. One more word?
Thank you for this interview and thanks to all of those who will support us this weekend, you can follow me on my Facebook and follow my teammates on their own Facebooks!
