Yoan “ToD” Merlo – SC2 Protoss player for XMG & caster for WCS
Carmac is as oldschool as you can get in the esports scene and he's one of those people you can tell always tries to do better time after time and an event after another. I recently had the chance to work alongside (read "for") him and I can tell you I could never have asked for a better boss. Immature at times especially when around naive people who think their twitter account is safe he knows very well when to put his game face on and be serious.
All in all I would say Carmac is one of those people that make esports what it is today a great source of fun and a passion for lots of gamers out there. I hope to see him around at many many more events and even if my twitter might disagree I do
also hope he will never change :D

Carmac is an incredible hard worker, he is among the more experienced actors of all the esports scene. As usual with guys like him, he is a huge fan of esports, he's trully passionate about the games he's involved in. My first memory of him is while watching IEM's for Quake back in 2010. He had to handle that weird interview of Strenx and Cooler (watch it, it's pretty good).
Anyways, he's been doing an amazing job in making IEM's such a success. Personally I met him during the 1st time I was in Cologne for WCS, I didnt know anybody there except ToD who wasn't there, and he's been really helpful in making me confortable, and that helped me a lot working properly ! Also we share love for Liverpool wich automatically makes him a good guy.
Don't bet with him. Never.

Carmac is a unique person in the eSport scene, that’s for sure. He's autodidact like many eSport journalists and he managed to become a key person of the pro gaming scene. When you think to ESL, who do you think of? Carmac, of course !
Since I met him during many events, this Polish guy is both much respected because he's professional in many ways and fun and available as we can see in his interviews. No doubt, here is the key of the success in eSports: be professional but don't consider yourself as professional.
Samy “Sunscorcher” Ouerfelli – General Manager of Turtle Entertainment France & ESL France
I knew Michal in 2000 when he was editor for ES Reality. He was already known as the original guy that made things more entertaining than others and he was already among the more enthusiastic people involved in eSports. He was one of those that spent a lot of time in eSports at the beginning of the phenomenon and I always appreciated his frankness, even when it was annoying, making his name through the international scene as a honest and "incorruptible" person.
He was always a huge fan of the games with high "eSports" potential. During the Quake and UT era, it was already reflected in his videos, and it has become a reality 10 years later with the Intel Extreme Master. He changed the event against the advice of its founders, with success. Perfectionist and close to the communities, he has played and he's still playing a very big role in the development and the promotion of eSports as a real great show.
Thanks a lot to Clara for the translation.
